EDUCATION

Géraldine has a post-graduate degree in Business law (1996) from the University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne and a doctorate in Business law (2001) (“The supervision of the operations of associations governed by the law of 1 July 1901”, under the direction of Professor Yves Guyon). 

CAREER

Géraldine spent 12 years working for Desfosses International, the media subsidiary of the LVMH Group.

As in-house lawyer, she initially handled information technology problems faced by the LVMH subsidiary, Victoire Multimédia (from 1997 to 2001), before moving to the parent company where she was head of the legal department for all subsidiaries (from 2001 to 2009): La Tribune, Investir, SFPA (Connaissance des Arts), Radio Classique, Editions Classique Affaires (Le Monde de La Musique), Di Regie, Sid Presse, Sid Developpement (Le Salon des Entrepreneurs), Arlea Editions, La Fugue. 

 She set up her own law firm in January 2011, designing a flagship business offering: outsourcing of legal services.

 

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

With 15 years’ experience working for a multidisciplinary media group, Géraldine’s contribution to the firm includes her expertise on contractual techniques as well as her capacity to advise businesses in the fields of accessing data subject information, the internet, press, publications, advertising, artistic creations, broadcasting, PR and distribution.

 Having worked inside the corporate world, directly with operations departments, 

Géraldine provides innovative legal services secondment packages.

In addition to her profound understanding of the business world she has solid expertise in the following legal fields: 

  • Business law (commercial contracts, commercial sales practices, competition, consumer law);

  • Media law (the press, publishing, radio, television, PR, leisure, advertising);

  • IP law (copyright and associated rights, industrial property law);

  • IT law and the protection of personal data;
